The Portes du Soleil ski pass is free for children under the age of 5. After that, advantageous discounted rates are available according to age:
Child ski pass, up to and including age 15: available throughout the season for children aged 5 to 15. This is a real advantage, as the child age limit in most resorts ends at 12.
Youth ski pass, ages 16 to 19: teenagers benefit from a special youth rate, ideal for enjoying a ski holiday on a more limited budget.
Proof of identity will be required to confirm the child’s age.

Travelling as a group? When 4 or more people book ski passes for the same duration, with a minimum duration of 4 days, each person receives a 10% discount. A single payment is required to qualify for the discount.

Beginners can enjoy gentle, wide slopes that make learning and progressing easier. The interconnected ski area also enables intermediate skiers to explore new slopes and resorts easily.
Intermediate skiers will enjoy exploring the ski area and can choose a different ski itinerary each day, such as the Grand Paradis route, which offers breathtaking views of the Dents du Midi. Expert skiers can take on the Swiss Wall, renowned as one of the steepest ski slopes in the world, or the Jean Vuarnet black run in the Avoriaz ski area.
Freestyle enthusiasts will find numerous dedicated areas where they can progress, practise their skills and defy gravity. Avoriaz is home to two exceptional snowparks:
The Stash, a snowpark created in partnership with Burton Snowboards to offer a unique freestyle experience. Its runs wind through the large Lindarêts forest and feature wooden elements hidden throughout the route, waiting to be discovered along its secret passages.
The Lil’Stash, its smaller counterpart, designed specifically for children and beginners. It offers a fun and accessible introduction to freestyle skiing and snowboarding, as well as a unique experience in the heart of the Proclou forest, with treehouses, slides and self-service barbecue areas.
Avoriaz benefits from excellent snow conditions. Located at an altitude of 1,800 metres, the resort receives consistent snowfall throughout the season. The ski area records an average cumulative snowfall of almost 7.5 metres per year. The resort, which has been awarded the Flocon Vert environmental label, has also implemented a responsible snowmaking strategy, enabling it to maintain excellent conditions even during periods of limited natural snowfall.
